Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion Legacy

Following Hugh Hefner's death, the Playboy Mansion became the property of neighbor Daren Metropoulos, who purchased the estate for $100 million in 2016. Metropoulos reportedly struck a deal with Los Angeles officials to permanently protect the mansion from demolition, even under future ownership. Hugh Hefner is buried in the crypt adjacent to Marilyn Monroe, Playboy's first centerfold.
