Frank Zappa's Childhood Mercury Exposure

Frank Zappa frequently played with mercury as a child that his father brought home from work, often covering the entire floor of his bedroom with the substance. Exposure to mercury during childhood is known to increase the risk of prostate cancer later in life. Frank Zappa ultimately succumbed to prostate cancer at the age of 52.
