Kirkland's Winning Wager

In 1994, the family of 13-year-old Chris Kirkland placed a bet at 100-1 odds that their son would one day play for Team England. The bet proved successful in 2006 when Kirkland, now a goalkeeper, played for England in a match against Greece, resulting in the family winning £10,000.
