Signers of the Declaration

The average age of the signers of the American Declaration of Independence was 44. On the entire list of American Revolution participants, the youngest was Andrew Jackson, aged 9, and the oldest was Samuel Whittemore, 81 as of July 4, 1776. Eight were under 18 years of age.
