America's Extreme Weather Events

A little more than 75% of the tornadoes that the world experiences occur in the United States. Extreme weather events occur most frequently in North America, and the United States in particular experiences an average of over 10,000 severe thunderstorm events and over 1,000 tornadoes annually.
