The tomb of China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, remains untouched and unexplored to this day. This is due to the fact that it is buried deep underground and may also be surrounded by a moat of poisonous mercury and still-functioning booby traps. Modern tests have found that the amount of mercury in the soil is more than 100 times what it should be.
