Iva Toguri (Tokyo Rose)

During World War 2, a Japanese-American woman named Iva Toguri D'Aquino (Tokyo Rose) used double entendres to make farce of Japanese propaganda on her Radio Tokyo show “The Zero Hour” which was broadcasted to Allied troops in the South Pacific. She also used part of her $7 a month paycheck to smuggle food to American POWs. She was named a traitor by the USA and arrested for treason. It took her 30 years for her to prove her innocence.
