Libet's Free Will Experiment

In 1983, American neuroscientist Benjamin Libet conducted experiments on free will and found that there was some unconscious brain activity before the conscious decision to perform an act. The experiments thus concluded that this brain activity was the initiator of volitional acts, and free will therefore played no part in their initiation.
