14000 Centenarian Draft Error

In 2014, due to an error, U.S Government’s Selective Service System accidentally drafted 14,000 Pennsylvania men born between 1893 and 1897. The letters which were sent out ordered them to register for the nation's military draft, warning that failure to do so was "punishable by a fine and imprisonment."
