Necklacing

There is a form of public lynching known as "Necklacing" in which a tire is filled with gas, placed around the victim's neck, and lit on fire. The first victim of necklacing, according to the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission, was a young black woman, Maki Skosana, in 1985.
