The Goa Inquisition was a colonial-era Portuguese institution established by the Roman Catholic Holy Office in India, to stop and punish heresy against Christianity in Asia. It persecuted Hindus, Muslims, Bene Israels, New Christians, and the Judaizing Nasranis.
