The Miracle of 1511

‘The Miracle of 1511’ was a festival in Brussels in which peasants built approximately 110 satirical snowmen. Some were even satirical and pornographic in nature, performing sex acts, to protest against socioeconomic inequalities between the peasants of Brussels and the ruling House of Habsburg.
