Toxocariasis

Neglected diseases in the U.S. are largely ignored, undetected, and untreated since they primarily affect people in poverty. Toxocariasis, for example, afflicts an estimated 2.8 million African Americans and can cause childhood cognitive delays and even epilepsy.
