According to the National Archives that maintains the record of the meeting between Elvis Presley and President Nixon at the White House, Elvis said, “The Beatles had been a real force for anti-American spirit.” He claimed that “the Beatles came to this country, made their money, and then returned to England where they promoted an anti-American theme.”
