Chinese Medicine & Mao

Modern-day Chinese medicine was basically invented by Mao Zedong. It is something that was pushed by him in the 1950s because China didn’t have any doctors trained in western medicine to cover everyone including the poor. He didn’t even believe in it but had to support it out of political necessity.
