Alan Magee

During World War 2, US airman Alan Magee fell 22,000 feet without a parachute from a damaged B-17 bomber and survived after crashing through a railroad station’s glass roof. Magee was taken as a prisoner of war and was given medical treatment. Two years later, he was liberated and received the Purple Heart.
