Bonobo Societies

Unlike chimpanzees, bonobo societies are relatively peaceful, with squabbles rarely escalating to serious violence. Female bonobos spend their time together in the center of the group, grooming, eating, and socializing. Often, two females will embrace and rub their genitals together.
