William Cantelo

William Cantelo was a British inventor born in 1839, who mysteriously disappeared in the 1880s. His sons developed a theory that he had re-emerged under the name “Hiram Maxim”, the inventor of the famous Maxim gun. This was due to a striking resemblance and similar occupation.
