Halting sneezing

Halting sneezing via blocking the nostrils and mouth is a dangerous maneuver. It may lead to numerous complications, such as pneumomediastinum (air trapped in the chest between both lungs), perforation of the tympanic membrane (perforated eardrum), and even cerebral aneurysm.
