Jane Fonda

A Vietnam War veteran once waited in line at a Jane Fonda book signing just to spit tobacco juice in her face, calling her a traitor. She was very outspoken against the Vietnam War and visited North Vietnam. She was photographed seated on a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft battery. This controversial photo outraged a number of Americans and earned her the nickname “Hanoi Jane.”
