André Gardes

In 1990, unemployed nuclear physicist André Gardes tried to invade the island of Sark (a feudal system until 2008) on his own. Sark’s only policeman complimented his gun, Gardes showed it off to him and the policeman took it and imprisoned him for 7 days. Gardes tried to invade again a year later.
