Gary M. Heidnik

Gary M. Heidnik kidnapped 6 women and held them captive in a pit in his basement. He ended up cooking one woman’s head and mixing the meat with dog food and made the other women eat it. He was caught when one of his victims managed to escape. At his arraignment, he argued that “the women were already in the house when he moved in.” Former FBI Agent John Douglas (aka Mindhunter) revealed Gary Heidnik is one of the most frightening serial killers he had ever interviewed. He said Heidnik was even worse than Buffalo Bill in the movie ‘Silence of the Lambs’. He was executed by lethal injection in 1999.
