Body Mass Index

The Body Mass Index (BMI) was created for a social statistics experiment and was never intended to be an indicator of health. Waist to hip ratio is a much better indicator of metabolic dysfunction than BMI and it is much more applicable to children and athletes (2 populations that BMI notoriously miscalculates as overweight/obese).
