Ben Cohen, the co-founder of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, can’t smell and has near-loss of the sense of taste. The reason behind their ice cream being characteristically chunky is to compensate for his lack of taste. He adds big pieces of fruits to the ice cream to satisfy his need for texture in food.
