Amos Atkinson

In 1978, a man named Amos Atkinson held a Melbourne cafe hostage with shotgun, until his mother (a regular diner there) turned up in her nightgown and hit him over the head with her handbag while telling him to stop being stupid. He then released his captives and surrendered.
